We created an award-winning store concept for Oxfam that constantly reminds visitors, at every touchpoint, the difference they can make by shopping, donating and volunteering at Oxfam. We developed a retail proposition that focuses on ‘connection’ and ‘empowerment’ and brought it to life with a store design that’s flexible, scalable, easy to shop and manage.
Actual materials used in Oxfam’s work, such as packing crates and tarpaulin, even down to the customer water taps – the same ones Oxfam uses to get clean water to disaster areas – reinforce the charity’s work. Clear, simple and positive cause-related messaging throughout layers with bold, retail messages in black-and-white to inspire and guide shoppers. More recently, we supersized the design to create Oxfam’s first-ever Superstore. Complete with café, event spaces, kids area, market stalls and drive-through donation point, the Superstore is a destination for its local community and a new generation of ethical shoppers.
